Yes, urine has small amounts of DNA but it isn’t as easy to extract and analyse as DNA in saliva or blood. In case you’re wondering if octopuses pee, which you undoubtedly are, yes, they do. It’s the same basic principles as with humans, but a totally different system. At the end of the process the urine is passed into their mantle cavity (look it up, we don’t have anything like this, trust us). Paul’s incomparable guru-ness meant he decided pissing was too low and corporeal and somewhat beneath him, and transcended past the need to urinate at some point in late 2009. In the afterlife, however, he rediscovered the joys of a good tinkle and now frequently gets up throughout the night but prefers to leave the light off and sit down ala Larry David.
